Let The Games Begin! :)

I just enrolled my first customer! And boy does it feel good to share these incredible products with my best friend! Honestly, she's been begging me to enroll her for years, but I kept asking her to wait until I started the business myself so she could be enrolled as a personal customer. (My mother's been in the business as far back as I can remember so I've been enjoying these products for quite some time!) :) So excited! Really hoping I can work up the guts to talk to other people about the business! It's a scary thought, but exciting as well! In my opinion, going a little more out of your comfort zone each day is what living and personal growth is all about!

P.S. If you're wondering about the sunrise picture, it's meant to be symbolic of new beginnings ..just thought I'd point that out.

Until next time!

Green People

As some of you may know, I work in an early childhood center. Today, we were decorating cupcakes with frosting and food coloring. Unfortunately, I turned my head for a total of 60 seconds and when I looked back, my entire room, and more disturbingly, all of my kids, were completely covered in blue food coloring (not the easiest thing to get out of clothes...or skin for that matter.) So 30 minutes later, after I and my coworkers attempted to wash down the room, we had seven little beautifully sleeping smurfs under our careful watch and protection.

Why am I telling you this? Good question. Honestly, I'm not really sure myself because the title of this blog post is GREEN people, not blue. I guess after a long day's work, color differentiation is not one of my strong points. I had originally planned to do this super cool connection between green kids and saving the planet, but I guess for now, blue kids will just have to do.

So remember how just a day or two ago I was telling you all about what mattered most to me in the business was the personal health and wellness involved, as opposed to that of the earth? Yeah, well, scratch that. As I'm getting more and more trained in the business, I'm becoming more educated in environmental challenges and how our products help eliminate those challenges. Honestly, my ignorance on the matter was probably the cause of my indifference on the subject. I recently learned all about how chemicals and toxins like chlorine bleach, phosphates, and formaldehydes can really poison not only the environment but one's body as well. The products I endorse are completely free of ALL of these toxins.

If you're wealthy enough to employ a cleaning lady, you may not know this, but in order to give your kitchen or bathroom a good scrub, you need to put on gloves, a facemask, an apron, THE WORKS! That is not the case with my business. The products I use every day can be INGESTED (obviously please don't go feeding your family our dishwashing detergent) and poison control will not be concerned in the slightest (except maybe that your family has an odd sense of appetite.) I think that says a lot about what we stand for. We stand for healthy products that actually WORK! Try going to your local health store and buy the SUPER EXPENSIVE eco-friendly cleaning agents. Sure they might be great for the environment, but do they do anything? I think not. And the select few that might actually make a dent take such a toll on your pocket book, you'll most likely return to the toxic version just to be able to put food on your table! (ok, that may have been an exaggeration. But you know what I mean.)
Ok, so that's my tiny update for the day: I have officially become a tree-hugger. Kind of. I still like my family and friends better than the world. It's a work-in-progress.

All my best,
Nikki :)

Business Girl, What IS Your Business?

So here we go, I've enrolled in my business. What is my business, you ask? It basically is all about bettering lives. The business is centered around the selling of a GIGANTIC variety of everyday products that are SUPER healthy for the consumer and extremely beneficial for the environment. I have to admit, I do care about the earth and all, but for me, the biggest benefit is the personal health involved, including that of my family and friends. The products are so healthy, you could leave them on your bare hands for HOURS and feel just fine. (Try doing that with any of your local pharmacy brand items, it won't be too pleasant, I assure you.)

When I say everyday products, I mean laundry detergent, soap, toothpaste, makeup, energy bars, you name it! There's over 350 items in total and I'm in love with pretty much everything I've tried! (I still have yet to test drive the gamut!)

OK, OK, I hear, you're thinking this is WAAAYYY too good to be true. Well, I'm here to tell you it's good AND it's true!

Still not sold? That's alright. I wouldn't be either. Stay tuned! My next posts will be more informative. And if you or anyone else out there has any questions, be sure to comment or email me at athomebusinessgirl@gmail.com.

Have a great one Ya'll,
B to the G

Welcome to Business Girl!

Well, hello there! I'm not sure how many people will find this blog. Nonetheless, I think it's really important to immortalize my business career journey in an open forum so that, one day, when I become rich and famous, everyone can trace it back to day one ;) Nah, just kidding. I don't think I'm going to necessarily become famous, but I do not doubt my ability to get rich. My mother always raised me with the belief that I could do anything that I wanted. Though I have not found that to be entirely true, I definitely believe that there are certain things I CAN do, and do well. I'm pretty sure that working in business is one of them. (Or at least, I'm banking on it. A little positive thinking and self-delusion now and then couldn't hurt, right?) I'm young, I'm naive, I'm ready to go for it and make lots of mistakes (so that I can learn from them of course!) I'm pretty sure that means I've achieved the trifecta necessary for making it big in business!

Welcome to Part One of my journey. I've just enrolled and am BEYOND excited to share everything I know and am experiencing... everyday...as it happens...with YOU! (Ok, maybe not everyday...or as it happens, but it will most definitely be with you! One outta three ain't bad!) So here's to new beginnings and the possibility of real success!

Cheers!
BG :)
